Scott Travis - Director, CA
Scott Travis has been a Business Advisory Director since 2006 and has particular experience in the areas of taxation planning and advice. Scott also has expertise in the areas of business structuring, business development and business sale and acquisition; including preparing a business for sale, due diligence and valuations.
Scott works closely with clients across a range of industries including horticulture, manufacturing, technology, service and franchise sectors. An active member of the Franchise Association of New Zealand, Scott is passionate about helping franchise businesses grow and improve performance. He is also part of the franchise industry leadership group which was involved in establishing New Zealand's first biannual franchise survey.

Simon Knight - Manager, CA
Simon has been with Trust Accountants since its inception. Primarily working in Business Services producing financial statements, tax returns, GST and PAYE for most types of entities. Simon also oversees our Xero clients with training and consulting over general issues. He also manages the day to day operations of the office.

Amanda Billington - Director, CA
Amanda joined the business as a Senior Manager in our Business Services team. With over 16 years' experience in both the United Kingdom and New Zealand, Amanda brings far reaching insight for small to medium sized businesses.
Amanda is a committed advocate of our "beyond the numbers" ethos. Her involvement in both day-to-day accounting and strategic planning helps clients define their business and financial goals, and achieve them. She has a clear focus on profit growth and wealth creation with specific expertise in financial forecasting, restructuring, due diligence, business valuations, management accounting and KPI reporting.
Amanda is also a treasurer of Collaborative Advocacy NZ and is an elected board member of the North Harbour Hockey Board.

Phil Barlow - Director, FCA
Phil Barlow is Director of our Tax Team, coming from Ernst and Young. Having specialised in tax for more than 20 years, Phil has considerable expertise in tax effective structuring, tax risk management, assisting with IRD
audits, domestic and international tax advice and tax due diligence.
Throughout his career, Phil has worked with many clients across a broad spectrum of industries; ranging from small to medium size businesses through to large multinational companies. Phil has also assisted the key stakeholders in these businesses with their own personal tax obligations.
Phil regularly presents on topical tax issues for the Knowledge Shop, the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) and other Auckland based Chartered Accountancy firms.
Within CAANZ, Phil is Chair of the Auckland Branch Operational Tax Liaison Group. Phil is also the Auckland representative on the National Tax Liaison Committtee.

Shelley-ann Brinkley - Director, CA
Shelley-ann joined our Tax Team, coming from Ernst & Young. Shelley-ann has specialised in the provision of tax consulting services for more than 20 years and prior to that she had 5 years' experience in the provision of both audit and business advisory services.
Shelley-ann's client base ranges from high net worth individuals, NFPs, trusts and SMEs, through to large multinational companies. Shelley-ann's experience includes international structuring, business acquisitions and disposals, property transactions, international tax, GST and other indirect taxes, tax compliance, IRD audits, tax affect accounting, due diligence, coaching and training staff, and analysis and dissemination of new tax legislation. In addition, Shelley-ann provides tax advice to other professional accounting firms through the Knowledge Shop Q & A service and provides regular continuing education to Knowledge Shop members to keep them up to date with legislative changes.

Paul Watkinson - Manager, CA
Paul joined the business in 2023, as part of our Business Advisory team. With over 35 years of accounting experience, Paul brings a wealth of expertise to the team.
Based in our Newmarket office, Paul has extensive experience in process improvement, management reporting and training. Paul has a passion in building strong relationships, enabling him to better understand his clients to help them achieve their goals.
